This Paw Patrol Birthday Cake is sure to delight any little Paw Patrol fan. Pssst! It's super easy to pull off!
Keira demanded a Paw Patrol birthday cake for her 4th birthday party.
I wanted something easy that would come out looking amazing and stumbled upon a cake idea but no tutorial anywhere.
I tweaked the idea a little, photographed my way through it and decided to share it with other parents wanting to tackle a Paw Patrol Birthday Cake for themselves.
What you will love about this Paw Patrol Cake Recipe
- You don't need to know how to decorate a cake or how to smooth frosting. Messy is good.
- Since toys make up a majority of the cake decor, it's again, really easy to decorate.
- Chocolate! Lots of chocolate. Everyone will love it.
- It's so cute! This cake is sure to be a hit with any Paw Patrol fan!
Paw Patrol Birthday Cake
Materials:
Large Rectangular Cake Board (Bulk Barn)
2 x 9″ round Chocolate Cakes, levelled (made from one cake recipe or box mix)
1 Recipe Chocolate Buttercream
Candy rocks (Found at Bulk Barn or Amazon) or M&Ms.
9 Kit Kat bars (4-Pack)
Number Candle
Rubble's Digg'n Bulldozer Toy or Super Pup Rubble's Crane (Found in-store at Mastermind Toys for $17 CAD but also available on Amazon.)
(Optional) Paw Patrol Marshall's Ambulance (Found in-store at Mastermind Toys for $17 CAD but also available on Amazon.)
Directions:
Use a dab of buttercream on the cake board and place one of the cakes on top.
Sandwich the two cakes with frosting between them. I like to add a lot of frosting between the layers, but that is up to your preference.
Cover top and sides of the cake, reserving some frosting.
Cut two of the kit kat sections so they are a little smaller than half a bar. Cut one kit kat section in half, and then another two so that they are a little bit taller than half.
Stand the pieces into the buttercream on the sides of the cake, graduating the sizes and then using the full sized sections around the rest of the cake. Be sure to leave a gap for the "ramp".
Build the "ramp" with buttercream.
Arrange the candy rocks round the inside edges of the cake and spilling down the ramp, press the candle into the buttercream.
Place Rubble and his Digg'n Bulldozer Toy onto the top of the cake.
If desired, use buttercream to glue the Marshall's Ambulance onto the board.
Serve & Delight your little Paw Patrol fan!
